| La misión de La Plaza es servir, fortalecer e integrar a la comunidad Latina de Indiana central. The mission of La Plaza is to serve, empower and integrate the central Indiana Latino community. Get involved in the SUPER BOWL!!! The NFL and La Plaza are providing our Latino youth opportunities to experience the excitement building up to the Super Bowl. On January 30, nearly 70 youth with get a chance to attend The NFL Experience, presented by GMC, at the Indiana Convention Center. The NFL and USA Football will conduct a special clinic of fun, non-contact football skills and drills. And on February 1, the NFL will donate youth footballs to 100 youth at a special event where NFL players will speak about healthy and active lifestyles and make the special delivery of the footballs to each child to take home. And here's how you can get involved...RUMBA! Head out to Las Americas Entertainment's "Rumba Latina" night at Adobo Grill. Saul Ramirez of Las Americas Entertainment will host special donation nights at Adobo Grill on Saturdays to help us with transportation costs of getting the kids to the events. Night of the Americas (NOTA) 2012 NOTA, one of Indianapolis' premier Latino events, will be held May 4th (Cinco de Mayo eve) and will honor our 2012 Hispanic American Service Award winners and recognize La Plaza Scholarship Fund recipients. | Job Opening: Mother-Daughter Program Coordinator The Mother-Daughter program empowers middle school Latina girls to continue their education through high school and beyond by helping them to value the importance of education, develop self-esteem, foster supportive relationships, and explore future dreams and goals. The Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, managing, implementing and evaluating the Mother-Daughter Program at three to four middle schools. Successful candidates should be bilingual in English and Spanish, have at least a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education or related field, and experience leading and motivating youth.
