VOLUNTEER/INTERNSHIPS
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with La Plaza, Inc.
Each year, La Plaza recruits over 100 volunteers for Fiesta Indianapolis, held annually on the third Saturday of September at the American Legion Mall downtown. Annually, we also need volunteers to assist with the collection, organization, and distribution of Christmas gifts for Latino children.
Beyond these annual events, La Plaza and its clients benefit most from volunteers who are able to commit to volunteering for a minimum of three to four hours per week for at least a month. Ongoing volunteer opportunities include working with high school Latino students to mentor them through the college application process, and organizing food drives for our food pantry.

All volunteers should complete a Volunteer Application Form. Volunteers working with children/minors need to submit a Full Criminal Background Check.
Spanish language abilities are helpful but not necessary.
La Plaza also welcomes college students who wish to receive credit through an internship program. Background and criminal checks are conducted on each intern applicant. Please contact La Plaza for more information.
